Maggie’s on York – Boag’s Apartment – is a wing of Strathesk House, (built in 1876) one of the few surviving grand old mansions in the York St – Windmill Hill “Dress-circle” area of Launceston, a National Trust classified precinct just outside the CBD. The apartment is named after James Boag who built the wing in1896. James Boag (famous for establishing Boag’s Brewery in 1881) and his family lived in the house until his death in 1918.

Maggie’s on York – Boag’s Apartment – can truly be your home away from home, either for a couple of days or if you need somewhere special and comfortable for a longer stay in Launceston. A car is not necessary while in Launceston, however, there is ample on street parking available should you need it.

The apartment has keyless code access (guests will be text/emailed an individual access code prior to their arrival).The windows are all dressed with plantation shutters for privacy & allow you to control the level of light you want.

There is air-conditioning (heating & cooling) on both levels, electric blanket on the bed, free WIFI, flat screen smart TV, books on Tasmania & local interests, smoke detectors & extinguisher.
